Just got to get over the pain of clearing the forward sales of “as available” then sitting on the rest. My stores won’t hold it all so I feel forced to sell some early to guarantee timely clearance so I can actually get the harvest in.

Interesting, how often can you grow it in the rotation?
This grower has only been growing for 3 years, approx 40ha over a 350ha farm, we are aware it is not always how often within the rotation it is about the area grown around the farm unit. In my opinion you can be a virgin land grower but if the area grown around your unit is high it can knacker your crop!! (Flea Beetle does not understand farm boundaries or crop rotation)

He's been telling the vegan teacher about me and him collecting up dead calves after a storm in springtime. 🤦‍♂️

It's a sign of the times when a young lad needs to educate the teacher, she sounds like she's deficient in one way or another. Good on him.

They were reading Charlotte's web 🤷‍♂️

Not sure how dead animals came up. She pointed out that his dad would be annoyed about financial loss. I was just sad because of the way they had died and felt I'd let them down.:banghead::cry:

Anyway back on topic!

Are those charges inc the weight loss or is it minus standard weight loss plus drying charge?
Both I would think. I bid a neighbour years ago for some 20% wheat, £15 off ‘base price’ex farm, he got offended led it into a merchant and they knocked £28 off, that was years ago. Fair play to him for being straight up and admitting it afterwards
