Yea it surprised me tbh about the above sale, have to say not many merchants lorry's have been running the roads around here like you would expect at harvest.
There's loads daily heading west down the A30, last week 3 were running together, and a few have learnt the quick route through the village when the roads busy on Fridays from holiday traffic.

Haulier/straw merchant in my yard yesterday, he said in 35 years in the job he’s never known it go from such a famine to such a surplus as this time. Men on the Yorkshire Wolds who were demanding £150 ex farm three months ago and getting it now offering it at £50 and struggling to move headland stacks
