Auction of round bale straw the other day the auctioneer could not even get a bid let alone sell it!
Must be area dependant,no problem to shift straw in any type of bale round here.

There's loads daily heading west down the A30, last week 3 were running together, and a few have learnt the quick route through the village when the roads busy on Fridays from holiday traffic.

Haulier/straw merchant in my yard yesterday, he said in 35 years in the job he’s never known it go from such a famine to such a surplus as this time. Men on the Yorkshire Wolds who were demanding £150 ex farm three months ago and getting it now offering it at £50 and struggling to move headland stacks
