It’s a scandal. Should be nstionalised immediately. Sick and tired of foreign speculators and rip off merchants playing fast and loose with key strategic national assets and infrastructure. Sadly the privatisations of the 1980’s have finally hit rock bottom in terms of benefit to customers and the country. How national assets were ever allowed to fall into the hands of these spivs is a question that should be asked of the politicians that waved it through.
But sadly they are too busy building a railway line to cut 30 minutes of a Christmas shopping trip.

It’s poor strategic management of national assets and resources at government level. There has been 40 years of allowing industrial run down and asset stripping. 40 years of reliance on financial services and reliance on imports of anything manufactured.
Well what use are financial services now?
It’s come home to roost.
Yep it's called capitalism, and as it's impossible to have infinite growth forever, it is in it's death throws. It's not going to be pretty either. I've told you before to start connecting the dots. Why do you think a moderately severe respiratory virus (check out the reality of the ONS age standardised mortality figures that show nothing particularly alarming) went from '3 weeks to flatten the curve'' to 'show us your papers' ?

Read Claus Schwab's book it's all in there. In fact most of it can easily be found and I suggest that you study this document.

Nah.

I think you are confusing infinte material consumption with infinite growth.

Growing can mean less material consumption but higher technology.

I don't see technology decreasing growth any time soon and the general consumer lags behind technological advancement some years if not a decade or two.
