Got to be £5 + . I won’t be delivering for less. Store trade has set the trend for the season. I don’t see foreign lamb coming in quantities to depress the trade. We have it in our power to keep the trade up - just got to be firm. Food situation will worsen as autumn progresses and lamb will be available as pork and chicken availability tightens. My opinion only based on zero fact - doesn’t make it any less valid!I was going too start this week. Leave them a bit longer I think
I think the whole energy sector is in for rattle up, we renewed our electricity contract this month, the best price I could get was still resulting in about a 15% increase on last years annual bill. I thought I was being shafted signing up for three years but it seems a good deal this week!Fertiliser plants closure is connected to gas price. The electricity issue is connected to a fire at the connection of a sub sea cable from France limiting import electric.

How much back are they on your last lot sold?

Thought I read last week in reports that heavier lambs wasn't much affected?about a tenner.
Was expecting to average £90 a life. Mine sold better than most there despite being tail Enders. Think I have just 40 head left.
Little demand for anything over 47kg.
42 to 44kg seemed to be a sweet spot.
Have you done the deed for Wednesday,or is it on the morning of the sale? Was going to maybe sell some thursday live will watch trade as week goes on
Strange, I thought the chat was there aren't enough heavier lambs available???about a tenner.

Beef should be the least affected by all this I think, they don’t have to use co2 for the packaging, people still want to buy meat.Any sign of beef prices coming back, got a few barren sucklers to go on this week? Bit worried by this CO2 shortage.
