Go to a store lamb sale up north in January/February and you will only see dealers and possibly an odd farmerI get what ur saying but re read what I wrote dealers are needed to for trade as well at times
You have to give it Frome, they are very good at making the trade sound a lot better on their market report than it actually was!

Nothing I don’t think, lost a few ewes and particularly ewe lambs the last 6 weeks so nice to see the odd one on a kill sheet, only had 1 fluke so far this year, before we dosed the ewes twice we’d on 20% fluke in lambs after September. How much do they deduct from those with pneumonia.....?
It’s been coming over the horizon since the end of headage payment s.The knock on effects are quite staggering
i can’t understand folk who don’t sell their stock. It might be starting to effect the store lamb sales now. Longtown today didnt have the fire in it i thought. Not as many buyers around the ring. There were several hundred lambs in from one farm near Langholm,Texel out of South Country Cheviots i think. They were small but looked healthy enough, but there was no one there to sell them.Needless to say, they didnt make much.First pen in of 130 made about £68.Next pen of 100 in the £50s,and last ones £30.Think TE bought them. You would have thought that with those numbers, the seller would have been with them. Star of the sale was some Cheviot ewes made £2.Looked like they would stay alive.TE bought them.
