That’s quite encouraging in my view. If they were detected in London but have moved on then it can’t be affecting them that badly can it. Not dropping like flies anyway. Maybe even so mild they don’t know they’ve got it?Third Omicron Covid case detected in the UK - BBC News
It comes as England prepares to adopt tighter rules on masks and international travel from Tuesday.www.google.com
Yep, but it's 'news' for the media prats, and it's a reason to be seen 'doing / saying something' for the political prats one and all, so we are where we are - on balance, probably better safe than sorry...The lady doctor who is at the centre of this becoming known (from Pretoria) has been on BBC since Sun am calming nerves basically. Listening to her it's a bit of a mystery as to why the world's losing its sh1t over this variant. Early days but I'm glad I've seen her interviewed personally.

I wonder why they didn't call it Omega. Maybe because Omicron is an anagram of moronic and they can all have a good laugh at the sheep running around like fools.
Apologies. I think the old gallows humour probably does need the lid put on tighter. How I'll cope come lambing time will be anybody's guessBet the people who die of it would think it isn't a joke ?
Nobody is trivialising it, it's just variant name gags. This one tickled me today:Bet the people who die of it would think it isn't a joke ?
