I don’t suppose they’re worried about my handful. Maybe the rest of their dedicated supply group that haven’t sent them any though…🤐
You would think they will be losing alot of money on that particular deal with New Zealand lamb to get footfall for Christmas. There is no way they could sell it normally for £6.50/kg and make money on it..............................or could they?

It’s well below cost. I reckon one UK retailer used to lose £3million on their lambs legs at Easter, back when they used to sell them at £4/ kg. Retailing food below cost price is actually illegal in France.

If our local Tesco is the same as every other Tesco in the country,(and there is no reason to believe it isnt) the amount they have procured is bound to feed through to the buying of fat lambs,both live and deadweight in this country. It would be very interesting to know how much NZ they have bought,and how much they have paid for it.

The main reason tesco pulled out from France , should be illegal here as well unless its old stock , it gets right under my skin seeing the veg at 19p in the supermarket ,
