Wanted a manual so honda only option now suzuki stopped selling the 400. this is a manual 500 with independent suspension for my father, he would have happily bought another suzuki 400 if available. I much prefer my Honda 420 over the suzuki
I done nearly the same last year bought a low houred mf 5612 with a loader from a local fella, then 2 months later bought a new 420 manual.

All my Christmases arrived at once today!!
1500 hour MF 5713 and loader, loader is 15 years old but plenty good enough for moving a few bales a year. Belonged to a mate before so I know its been looked after.
Also a 2 year old honda 500 arrived to replace a suzuki quad with 13,000 miles under its belt. Usually buy new but new ones not available until we've finished lambing so this will keep us going for a few years now. I have had a Ranger Wildtrack auto on order since early June with a quoted 30-34 week wait. We are on week 31 so I emailed the dealer at the beginning of the week and he doesnt even have a build date yet. I can’t see it being delivered in this tax year (5th April) which is a problem as my previous Navara got written off end of May and I have had the insurance payout but won’t have the replacement cost to offset against tax.

Would it be worthwhile getting one that's a year or so old.

Does it have paintwork, or is it made like a bucket and the color is "built in"?
If Glass will get 'pock' marked from hot grindings then plastic will even easier, which could spoil the look and be harder to clean.
These days i always look where the direction they are going to be aware as some time ago:cautious: a vans windscreen was not helped to see out of and wiper longevity was shortened  by grinding what was thought to be far enough away but wasnt as it happened... :(
