Fertiliser Price Tracker

130k works out at £43/t at 3t/acre on a 1000 acre farm.

I imagine not many would have averaged better than £200 last year so you're possibly better off atm.
Cash flow and capital is the danger as has been mentioned before.
True, but the figure he used was up £450k so £450'000 / 3000tons = £150 per ton increase.

50£ a round bale of hay this year for sure, 200 a lmb, 2000 a bullock, and 400 aton for cereals. That's needs to be the prices.
Problem is farmgate prices will be weak as a recession will be sure to bite shortly.

We are selling breeding ewe lambs in the fat even though prices currently aren’t great because I feel come the breeding sales buyers pockets will be empty with many keeping less numbers and having less grass about due to putting less fert on.

If we have a drought summer it will crucify ag output in the UK and magnify issues.

Possibly very prudent, if however cull ewe prices remain strong/increase I would rather kill more older ewes and keep the flock young 🤔

Indeed,

Luckily we generally have a younger profile amongst the ewes and what we had kept were surplus to our own requirements for replacement.

Anyone want some tidy texel cross ewe lambs for £120,they will be on a hook by Tuesday.

Is anyone actually buying at current prices?

Was quoted £915 for extran yesterday. Don't need it till June so going to wait.

I've been wrong at every step with my fert price predictions so far. So surely get it right once.🤦‍♂️
If vlad pulls out of Ukraine you never know what will happen to prices. Think it’s just a shock to the market these inflated prices 🤷‍♀️
