Sorry to hear about your Mum.
You did forget to mention the skiing trip though…
When it comes to selling lambs I'm a greedy buggerTo be fair, you did have a flier last week.
You can’t get lucky every week, surely?
I never went anywhere for years I don’t mind a look off now when the chance arisesIf that had not happened I would now be climbing the walls, it was a well need 5 days! (joys of being a mixed farmer, no quiet time to enjoy the slopes/shooting/sailing etc)
Treating my mrs too a weekend away next month at a sheepdog training clinic in County Durham followed by a trip too market sheep shopping on the way homeI never went anywhere for years I don’t mind a look off now when the chance arises
Welcome backNot posted in here for ages, too busy.
Took last few stores into Exeter and a couple of culls. Never seen so many sheep in on a Monday, just shy of 6,000 I think. Still selling culls at 6:30 this evening.
Bought the stores for less than £65 and not had any hard feed just stubble turnips and grass.

Difficult here too . FIL only been here for 2 yrs but it's hard work . Thankfully we built a small annexe for him else we would never have coped . It's very trying and his dementia is getting worse now . Had to talk to him yesterday about the way he talks to his carers but I know he will just ignore it .I have a similar situation here. Elderly relatives with severe health issues it’s harder than you expect. Wife does 90% of it and we have carers in four times a day now for two of them. Probably been on with it for five years or more now, not moaning about it but it’s hard going for the rest of the family.
I know what you are going through
It's tough isn't it. We looked after my Dad for many years although mentally he was sharp the hard years had broken his body. Dementia is a whole different ball game though - not sure we could have done that.I have a similar situation here. Elderly relatives with severe health issues it’s harder than you expect. If i ever get that way I want too make sure my kids and mrs know full well I just want putting in a home and leaving too it I hate the thought of being a massive burden on everyone, you see people who can’t go too work or anything and ending up in a right mess because they’ve ended up putting caring for there parents and I don’t wanna end up like thatBeen through it also , Dad had dementia, its a difficult time for sure.

Easy to say that paying for it is the problem. If i ever get that way I want too make sure my kids and mrs know full well I just want putting in a home and leaving too it I hate the thought of being a massive burden on everyone, you see people who can’t go too work or anything and ending up in a right mess because they’ve ended up putting caring for there parents and I don’t wanna end up like that
If putting me down is an option I’d choose that tbfEasy to say that paying for it is the problem.
Having seen it first hand so would I.If putting me down is an option I’d choose that tbf
Yes the extention we put up was about 50 grand. We are about 2 yrs down the line so that's basically paid for itself .... without being unkind we are hoping for his sake and ours that he pops off before needing a care home !!Easy to say that paying for it is the problem.
