A feed rep reckons we are soon to be rich beyond our wildest dreams due to carbon credit payments 😂 , i dont share his optimism.
Somebody will get rich on carbon credits but it won’t be most farmers more like most land owners like usual and tenants won’t see a penny if anything they’ll get a rent review
I can see an awful lot of us cutting our use of hard feed just like we have with fert so the feed reps arent going to be very busy. My gut feeling is the war will end before next winter and feed will not be anywhere near as dear as forcast
The war won’t be over until somebody assassinates putin if you ask me..

Does seem alot of cattle on offer but May is usually a big sale month. Interesting to see what the May cow and calf sales are like, with cull value sky high i expect they will be mental. For all the talk i havent seen anything cheap sold apart from dairy x weanlings . Calf trade doesnt add up against the weanlings which is usual but madness with powder and feed so dear, i think people are set up to do a certain thing and just ride out the highs and lows regardless
We were talking about this today. Not too many folks locally liking the idea of cows at the moment but it would seem that the likelihood of breeding cattle being any cheaper is unlikely

We are on doing a survey at the moment and looking into what commercial value these things have
It’s false accounting to the highest level in my opinion but can’t be ignored if it has/adds value
