Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

Anyone at ua ewe hogg sale, not on YouTube or Facebook, that's not a good sign normally. Interesting what the mules were making. Probably less than last September time, sheep are defo heading the wrong way while everything is going up. Probably be able to buy nice gimmers for 140 this autumn and lmbs below 100 l would think. Even cast ewes aren't what they were.

I was very tempted to have a ride out. Got a little job for 50 dry hoggs if I can find the right sheep. Although I’m not overly bothered. Breeders be cheap in the autumn. Stock up properly then

Problem is it really is fairly normal for me at the minute 😭 never ending pain atm

Too farm sheep Youv Definatly got too be able too handle your fair share of disasters that’s for sure… taking my truck too a fabricator tomorrow too see if he can do something with it, it’s ripped the chassis rail in half so I’m sceptical he can do anything with it that I’d feel safe towing a load of sheep with tbh but he’s confident he’ll be able too make it stronger than it was
Is it a write off? Mine was

I was there, bought nothing. The plainer end were £120 - £140, next grade up to £160, then better end £160+ generally. The pure texel hoggs would inflate the average a lot for a very plain show of commercial hoggs.

I had hoggs at boswells and they were shyt nobbled the weight to keep the price per kilo up but tenner down on 2 weeks ago , sheep trade is just slowly deteriorating and with costs up its not good at all .

Doesn’t look very promising for this coming summer really.

Probably get nice stores for 60/70 this August, probably in 3 weeks hoggs will be mostly gone, may help the new season ones abit. Seem to be abit of a downer around the sheep sales getn, all because hoggs have never got away, just stayed the same all spring, un like the ewes. Although ewes n lmbs at foot seem OK.

I tend to agree , but i dont think in this era the 60 quid store lamb is sustainable for long ….
