Sale weight loss.

Sold 8 simx,hex,aax steers, 8 chx heifers last week.
Out off of shed same time weighed same feed same lorry same boat same sale.
But steers lost 18.25kg per head. Heifers lost 29 kg per head.
Can sex, breed really make that much a difference?

Heifers probably stress out more than steers but from selling live I’ve not noticed any difference in weight loss between bullocks and heifers when stood around 5/6 hours

Percentage wise ?? Is there that much difference??
Doesn’t sound to bad to me
