I would be quite happy if we could get near £1000 for stores pretty easily and maybe keep a few more cows
I rarely get to post on this thread, but put 15 stores through Exeter this morning. Ruby reds, 11 heifers which weren’t as good as I’d have liked and 4 bullocks. Averaged £900 each at around 28 months and never had anything other than grass. They wouldn’t win any prizes but at least COP was as low as it could have been.

Had lorry and trailer out of Exeter 3 weeks ago going on well like the ones out of dairy cows and some Devon reds!
 
I think he means the family size pig units , the bnb pigs are massive company’s not just family pig producer.
Well I don’t really know. There seems to be a lot less farms keeping pigs of their own and if they do now it’s usually in the hands of the big ones.
Pigs have always been making or loosing over the years.
From what I’ve been told of the folks that have them it’s like printing money when the job is going well and burning it when it’s not.
I get some stick off the pig lads when the job is good they can make serious money and sheep and cattle look silly
They’ve been quiet lately
