Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

What im trying to say is that if they realise they are short of where they should be on the week they will give more.
Dont forget the auction averages will be higher due to the top quality beltex lambs that go live.
I would never send beltex to dunbia but the plainer type lambs do well there.
Yes, I see that but I'm sure they could have gone more than 10p this week. To be fair Welshpool has a good range of lambs from top end Texel Beltex to plain Welsh esp. from now on so I'd say it was a good trade. It would be interesing to know how many ditch Dunbia and send live over the next few days. They do seem very keen to pull prices back over the last few months, do you know who they supply now? Used to be Co-op and Sainsburys did it?

I would think theyl be wrong pulling prices back this week with the way live has set off wont they, but i suppose thats something they wont know till the sales have started.
You just have to take rough with the smooth, theyll be up again next week and live could be down.
Its not everyone's cup of tea as you soon find out on here but i like it for plainer type lambs!
No im not sure where they go.

Did you remind our friend from Dunbia what the latest mart averages are before he coughed up the extra 10/20p though??

So if the dead weight lambs go through to live weight and cause an excess on demand which leads to a price drop isn't that counterintuitive?

Edit-bit like the experts that suggested to dump 100 plus lorries of milk on the spot market, where as there is normally a handful.
Oversupply in a market means only one thing.

How will it cause an excess? There'll still be the same number of lambs coming forward, deadweight firms will have to go t bid for them
