Last year a fortnight after the festival was better than before! I cashed all mine before at a mediocre price. Fortnight later would have been £15/20 more!!
Oh dear, was just thinking this morning the fire risks at harvest are going up by the day around here but you don’t need that sort of help.

B4stards!!! Used to have the same when I was in Warks. All headlands chopped when combining and straw was only baled if it was fit that day and could also be moved! I remember being behind a small village and they were trying to light the straw swath behind the combine as soon as I’d turned around and was heading away from them. Silage bales would be sliced if left out and all machinery would be torched too. The rest of the area was lovely but the local youvs and often their parents too were complete cactuses.
My old man had a field that backed into a council estate, fortunately it was very well fenced with security fence when they built it apart from 1 corner where they used to come through and light fires so every harvest my fad would take 3 tanker load of sh!t and back up to the fence and let it go as soon as the headland was combine, that stopped them
thought I’d better hang about too make sure they weren’t robbed, happy with that, considered taking the last pen of Suffolk’s home but the amount of feed they’re eating and not getting any fitter was better just chew it
Time of year is coming now when the Suffolk’s go all Holstein on you for a few months! Better gone at that I’d say.
