BKT Tyres?

We are after a new set of tyres and have been quoted the thick end of 14k for a set of Trelleborg and 8k for a set of BKT.
But are they cheap for a reason? The tractor will do minimal road work and only does chaser bin and rolling, probably 400 hours a year and we are hoping a new set will last 8 years.
will BKT do the job or are we better off spending the extra??

Fitted a set in April to replace trelleborgs. Grassland and road work, done about 800 miles on the road and the numbers on the face of the tread are still there on the fronts. We don't try and use lower pressures so don't know what they'd stick it like but very happy. 580/70r38 were£960 and trelleborgs were about £2300

Certainly no desire to spend for spending sake but don’t want to spend twice, Michelin are actually marginally cheaper than Trelleborg.
Tractor and loaded bin are are over 45 tonne so guess I need to check the load rating 🤔
There's a steel belted bkt which is higher load but we didn't need the extra

Someone is taking the Michael here. We’ve just put four BKT boots on a JD6155 for £4K fitted … and tractor does over 1000 hrs per year often on the road

I really like them, however I am a bit weary of their vf tyres. Neighbour had a set of v flecto 710/70r38 and 540/65r30, rear tyres where a bit noisy but didn't seem to wear at all. Fronts where bald in no time flat.
Bought a set of 540/65r24, they where one of the cheaper options which suprised me. Dealer pushed Mitas but they a fair bit more expensive.

We've gone right off Trelleborgs, BKT are the go to tyres now as they outlast Trelles we find. We've fitted 4 sets to our tractors with zero complaints.

I've just had a 710/75R42 Trelle with cracks repaired, plenty of tread but I know it won't last, it will be replaced with a set of BKTs next year.

Wonder if his front wheel drive gear ratio/ tire size was wrong. At least I hope that is why....as v flecto is what we are trying.
