Sorry only just seen this! Not one of ours.wood chip for a local biomass boiler for poultry at horsington should give you a clue without naming names.!It does. I did here the driver is ok. Between Bardney and Wispington, but unsure who’s, wonder if @s~~t shoveller may know it.
Had a reconditioned turbo fitted to our CHP at 98,000 hours. After 10 hours running, there was massive oil loss out of the exhaust.
We have them rebuilt at 14,000 hour intervals. This was a clean shear of the shaft, leaving a big hole for oil to be pumped out at several litres/second.I've had nothing but bad experiences with reconditioned turbos, quite strange because there really isn't much to them. New no-brand Chinese ones are more reliable.
Did have a bit of an idea at first, and was confirmed yesterday. Apparently the bent Fastrac can be seen from the road in the yard.Sorry only just seen this! Not one of ours.wood chip for a local biomass boiler for poultry at horsington should give you a clue without naming names.!
Borg Warner dont sell spares i was told.. so what do they recon with is the question, I have always bought new original.I've had nothing but bad experiences with reconditioned turbos, quite strange because there really isn't much to them. New no-brand Chinese ones are more reliable.
Genuine rebuild kits are available for a few Borg Warner turbos but genuine replacement wheels and shafts are almost non existent from my experience. When genuine parts aren't available there's often an aftermarket option.Borg Warner dont sell spares i was told.. so what do they recon with is the question, I have always bought new original.
Interesting. I'm guessing the turbine shaft is replaced every time it's rebuilt, balance issue maybe? We have them rebuilt at 14,000 hour intervals. This was a clean shear of the shaft, leaving a big hole for oil to be pumped out at several litres/second.
If he does that again its down to the Vets
Dude, where's my trailer ?'Bugger bothering with the pit, I'll chuck it out at 3 Maids hill Roundabout, Winchester!'
Another Western? Turning them upside-down seems to be getting popular lately - the one in 76Masseyman's earlier post appeared to be Richard Western too.'Bugger bothering with the pit, I'll chuck it out at 3 Maids hill Roundabout, Winchester!'

Better with them tin can style, keeps the load narrower. 5’ aren’t as much fun on the trailer either, they sit too high.Ah, here's the story behind the pic, they almost look like 5ft bales.

It was the exhaust side of the turbo, so the oil went straight into the exhaust pipe together with the broken bit, so no chance of a runaway. If it had been on the inlet side, the rate of loss of oil would have caused a hydraulic lock up rather than a runaway. It was dumping a couple of gallons in 10-20 seconds.Any harm done to the engine itself? Could have run away no? Any pictures of the unit itself, I'm sure TFF loves machine porn as much as I do.
