They do but you will never see a mass return to mixed farming
A lot of dairy farms are not suited to Arable Farming ,especially in West Wales ,
And arble farmers are finding ways of looking after the soil without the need to use livestock to get there
Alright everything goes round in circles but different if that makes sense

Some old farmers in this area said the best thing to do in the 1930’s was nothing.
If fertiliser doesn’t come down then that’s what I’ll be doing on this farm, certainly on the poorer land that “wastes” inputs. I can see us moving towards ranching with sheep as a part time hobby and doing something else to make a proper living. In fact we are getting there already.
With nurses striking who are already paid 3x my salary, something has to give.
