PS - for the Austrailians we don't have sunshine, deadly spiders and snakes here in the UK, it's all wet and boring..... :ROFLMAO:

🤣🤣🤣
In regards to “deadly” snakes & spiders . . .

while not dismissing the potential real danger, I am 56 years old, have spent nearly my entire life living, working & playing in rural Australia, at times in VERY remote areas. I have never been bitten by a snake or spider, don’t know anyone who has died from a snake or spider bite & only know 1 person who has actually been bitten by a snake.
Maybe growing up with them you are just more aware & therefore less likely to be bit ? Like kids who grow up in towns / cities are very traffic aware & don’t just step out onto a busy street & get run over ? 🤷‍♂️

Apart from actual old age / ageing diseases, most people I know who have died have been from suicide, car accidents or cancer, probably in that order. Suicide definitely comes first . . .

snakes & spiders are pretty well at the bottom of the list for causes of death in Australia.

if you’re bored, google / YouTube Stephen Fry on QI, when he asks which is the most dangerous animal in Australia.

You do it just doesn’t have the die in it
No
We have to pay full price.
Registered businesses can claim back a rebate for the “road tax” portion, which is currently 40 cents per litre, for eligible off road use. This includes mining, forestry, fishing, agriculture, electricity generation and such like. Basically diesel use that isn’t propelling road going vehicles. We can claim that back either monthly, quarterly or annually ( depending on your business structure & accounting practices ) when we lodge our BAS ( business activity statement. Similar to VAT ) . But we have already paid full price, then have to claim the rebate.

So based on that, our “farm use” diesel is still dearer than E10 petrol & a similar price to “premium” petrol.

and when the gubament cut the excise in half to ease poor pishy city c<ñts cost of living before the lasy election they also removed the rebate. It's only come back in at the end of September....

Went to other side of Henty field day site to pick up some fuel tanks today. Billabong ck is right back down at Walbunderie now. You could see in the trees it has been a raging torrent 4 to 5 m up. Walbunderie to Rand is still closed. As is the entirety of the Federation way from Corowa. Made my way back via Brockelsby and Hopefield. Geez there's some water out there to the north of the Rand turn off. All that flat land out there will be totalled crop wise....

So you’re not far off UK red prices in the UK which has been £1.00-£1.10 ex any tax which can be reclaimed.

I’ll say it again we have we have it here it just does not have the red die in it and we have to claim back the rebate where in the UK they don’t the Rebate it’s taken off before when the farmer buys it and they put the red die in there so if someone is using it in a vehicle on the public road and they shouldn’t be the fuel could be tested To see if it’s rebate fuel or not
