Looking at some new rear tyres for my main workhorse, has anyone got any experience with BKT’s? They are a lot cheaper than others so makes me question if they are a good! Any feedback appreciated.
Cheers, 650/65-r42Have 2 sets, very little wear in 1000-2000hrs respectively. One set are very noisy on the road. Very happy otherwise. Might be an idea to put up intended size.
Is the 620 70 not an omnibib in the michelinLast set we got were not much cheaper really, just earlier this year was 620/70/42 and 540/65/30. Replaced michelins, i wish i had just paid the extra £1000 or so for michelins again just for comfort alone. I was told i would need v-flecto bkt’s to be the standard of a michelin multibib which are more expensive than a multibib. Also measuring the rear bkt 620 tyres are a lot smaller than the 620 Michelin hight and width. So i guess the bkts were only cheaper because they are less of a tyre.
Yes sorry I don’t think you would get bkt v flecto in a 620. Think it was 650s we were getting quoted for at the time when they were compared to multibibsIs the 620 70 not an omnibib in the michelin
I put a set on ours in march,no loader but a lot of road work with stock box and bale trailers. It's only in the last week or two that the numbers have worn off the face of the treads in the fronts.Any good on the front of a loader tractor doing road work in winter
Not your sizes, but 580/70r38 trelleborg were £2250 each and bkt were £910 in march. On a set of four, just a fair saving for tyres that some people swear byLast set we got were not much cheaper really, just earlier this year was 620/70/42 and 540/65/30. Does a 620 have a larger rolling circumference than a 650?Yes sorry I don’t think you would get bkt v flecto in a 620. Think it was 650s we were getting quoted for at the time when they were compared to multibibs
As far as i know they are meant to be around the same circumference and there could be differences depending on manufacturer.Does a 620 have a larger rolling circumference than a 650?
Thats a fair saving and wouldn’t justify the trelleborgs. I can’t remember what we were quoted at the time michelins were a good bit more but wasn’t double, firestone tyres were around about the bkt price. Which we’ve been pleased with both in the past but were swayed with bkts on recommendation by the tyre fitter. Not your sizes, but 580/70r38 trelleborg were £2250 each and bkt were £910 in march.
