someone here is very good at leaving net and string about, it's them that has to cut it off as well, you would think they would learn. Miss the old rotaspreaders, for them to cut the stuff off.

we had 1 p/timer, cut all the net/string, off the stirrer, left it in a heap, and pushed it back into the lagoon the next day ............................................... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: 🤷‍♂️

they are lucky these days, we have a cordless grinder.

we managed not to make any wrapped bales this year, all into hay :) (y)
then we had a political job, and had to buy 80 wrapped :X3:

l don't like silage bales, and having bought in a lot of hay, over the last few years, l have had a bit of a change of opinion on hay, the dairy performed very well, with hay a big % of their diet, not what we expected really.
so, hay by preference, after pit silage, wrap as a safety net !!

I bought some hay a couple of years ago and thought it was good value for sucklers
We used to make a lot of hay but storage and cats made us change to silage

I’ve had a lot of silage bales bales wet it can be very difficult to get all the net off them at times
They collapse after a bit of unwinding and even if you work at top speed it’s difficult to get it all at times
We had a demo of a Kuhn baler rapper last summer which put the film on instead of net wrap. It’s miles better than net. Not sure on cost difference but net is a thing of the devil really.

I found with those best put then in the courner of the silage pit ,abuse them with the loader , pull the net out then scoop silage with the bucket
