We were on filling sheep rings with silage yesterday it’s that wet the bottom bit I just tip out and start again the stuff gets that wet and as soon as the nets off it’s blowing away. Usually it’s too wet to blow away but there you go, Me and the middle lad both had 2 coats on sh!t over head blowing a sideways rain he said‘I feel like one of those bloody Ewoks off Star Wars with all these coats on’ had to laugh he did look like that
Just like that here, our bales are all chopped and putting hay out was like getting lashed in the face in a hail storm. I had to wear safety glasses or I wouldn't have been able to see. 🤣 Just sat this morning wondering how I can make space to bring some ewes inside, we usually make it to Feb and bring them in after scanning. The trouble is there are to many hoggs in the sheds and also some cattle that need shifting. Why didn't I sell a load of store Lambs in Oct like I was thinking and get some cattle away at last weeks sale:banghead:

Exactly the same, 100 gimmer lambs sat bed blocking , scanning Friday and now juggling to see if I can keep ewes in after scanning, lambs may have to go out but every one keeps telling me there’s cold and snow next week 😖

If it wasn’t for that thing called money global warming wouldn’t exist
Can't get my head around how accurate they recorded the temperatures all those years ago. Quoting several decimal points, just don't believe it was that accurate 100 years ago.
Saying that laying in 600 ewes next week, for my sanity as well as the sheep. No fun aquaplaning sideways across a bank in this weather with a 750kg silage bale behind the quad.☹️

There’s no doubt the climate has changed compared to what we used to get. We used to get long cold spells of significant snow which you would remember and more reliable long spells of dry settled weather in the summer. I wouldn’t be putting it down to global warming more like weather cycles.
