“Breeding Cattle met an excellent demand with a tremendous Limousin Heifer with a Limousin Bull Calf selling for £5000 consigned by Mr S Stephen, Meikle Geddes, Nairn and went home to the Moirs at Cairness. Next top price also went to Meikle Geddes for a Limousin Cross Heifer with a Heifer Calf at foot selling for £4500. The Smith family at Towiemore sold Heifers to £4350 twice, firstly a Simmental Cross with a Bull Calf and a Limousin Cross with Limousin Heifer Calf. With a total clearance of 211 Heifers and Calves averaged £3499.99 up £848.05 per head on the year.”
