What prices of Wheat C2 have people had , Kws Dawsum sp £450 pay JAN
I'm not sure it's entirely fair to single out KWS especially- you could say the same about the whole list.....If it grows as yellow as plenty around the country, and looks worse than the Costello its supposed to replace, I'd not bother.
Combine hasn't had its say yet, but starting to get the feint whiff of another KWS 5 minute wonder variety.
Yellow rust in Dawsum or flag leaf tipping ?If it grows as yellow as plenty around the country, and looks worse than the Costello its supposed to replace, I'd not bother.

Might be the year its not liked with the drought early on, they all seem to have different weakness in different years e.g.Just yellow leaves/tips, robust fungicide program and not YR.
I'm not singling out anyone particular, it must be too easy for the big breeders to get varieties on the RL that have no particular merit over old faithfuls; even Claire is still going with people who know how to grow it, how many short duration septoria/rust infested hopefuls have been and gone in Claire's timeframe...
If you avoid P1 and P2 Varieties, you can weed out the duffers.I'm not sure it's entirely fair to single out KWS especially- you could say the same about the whole list.....

Claire likes to sprout in a wet harvest for example
Could be if it’s all on the deck Sunday morning. 50mph gusts in the south east on Saturday.Could be the season for sprouting
My seed is growing in my fields , decision will be made when we cutQuoted £525 for a ton of over yeared c2 JB Diego to grow on.
As already said, I do have high hopes for dawsum but am mind full that it'll be pants in 3 years time.
Got even less faith in the new over priced gilt edged shite super fungs , snake oil the lot of themI've never had much faith in the recommended lists. Better to see trials of varieties in your region and then keep going back for a year or two and see how they fare before committing to a new variety with a modest order of new seed.
Don't you ever buy any new seed ?My seed is growing in my fields , decision will be made when we cut
Sounds alot of money for thatQuoted £525 for a ton of over yeared c2 JB Diego to grow on.

Should we all be growing varieties from along time ago and never try the new varieties then ?I'm not sure it's entirely fair to single out KWS especially- you could say the same about the whole list.....
Always , but not now , did a little experiment last yearDon't you ever buy any new seed ?
Alright so it's just this year your not buying any new , I always buy a small amount every year to take off the next year in case it's needed .Always , but not now , did a little experiment last year
