1948 Blackie

Fit twice as many in the race as well…😉🤣
One thing I'll say for Blackies is you can't smother them, I had 700 Blackie Ewes (Proper Perthshire ones not the wee shites of things) Panic and all rush into a closed in area, they must have been 4 or 5 deep for quite a while and only one dead. Most other sheep would have seen 50 or more dead.

I’ve cut the horns off plenty of blackie lambs less than 12 months old.
You probably started the cut at the throat though 😉😂
Might start a thread slagging every other breed just to keep things right.
You don't need to theres plenty of threads abusing most of the breeds!
🔵 Beltex can't breathe, walk or live beyond 2yrs old
🔵Charollais are nesh, thin skinned, milk less
🔵 Texels have heads bigger than the cabbages they're fed on
🔵Mules have cow tits
🔵Everything else has increased proclivity to escape or die or produce worthless lambs.

And don't mention those that the wool falls off of its own accord unless you've got a few days to read all the replies 😂

Suffolks are stupid, built like donkeys with shitty arses.
South Downs are just sh!t Ryelands…
I've interferred with both and would say Ryelands are fatter, woolier more awkward versions of Southdowns. Both have wool from the tips of their ears to their toes.

Berrichons feet fall off. Dorpers feet don't fall off they just aren't born with any. Shetlands can escape from a sealed room. Dorsets are fat woolly and always pregnant.

I did a live dead, using Blackie hoggs/tup lambs, hell what a carcase!! I have often wondered if sheep with a slack back ,being polite, left it in the carcase, yes you could see them a row of almost deformed bodies hanging up, still if having its head and horns stuck in the air matters most.

Crickey, they must be wilder than folk say if they`ll go 4 or 5 deep... ;)
