Those bigger herds have had problems surviving some may be in stewardship but it hasn’t been appearing to give economies of scale regardless of the stewardship aspect. The few big herds that I knew of that had a few hundred cows mostly have 100/150 or none now

There’s not many 100+ outfits around here now. Not sure if any. A lot of tree planting being done and a lot being applied for.
Hopefully them sticking at sucklers will be rewarded

They came to arrest my dads farm worker years ago , knocked on the door and came to the door with a bottle of whiskey and took a big swig and said yas can fuk off im watching emmerdale farm and im not coming till its finished so they sat out side till the credits ran and he came out and was arrested
