Pity there's not a German Town called strum.Typical Clarkson article, long on ranting short on solutions. Fair play for finding a way to say W ank though.
All the arable farmers will be skiingI'm not on twitter (or x as it is now) but apparently some bloke by the name of Jim ferguson I think, is supposedly trying to organise something end the month??

why would that poster know that ?When's his next farming series out?
@JCfarmer
We have our own particular problems here as every group that should be supporting us are trying to put us out of business.Demanding what ? Specifically. Because the only specific thing the Germans seem to be bellyaching about is the loss of their diesel rebate. Is our red under threat ?

Farmers protesting about the NFU could confuse the public though.
How very dare you.why would that poster know that ?
sorry JezzaHow very dare you.
Never needed such a big banner in my lifetime.Think we need to be a bit more specific. I'm struggling to fit all of that onto a banner.

Two actually. First was exempting tractors from tax dating from 1922 and the other was the fuel rebate. Both driven by the green faction of the coalition government.
The reaction of the farmers - with the support of well over 60% of the population - made them rescind the first and offer to phase in the latter over three years.
Neither are YET under threat here but then the greens have limited affect on policy (to date).
