How many anti suckle devices do you use? We've 2 montyX at the moment and they've both got one in, haven't used one on a HF for a decade. They've had the same rearing as all the B&Ws, so can only assume it's genetic or a breed thing?I am a big monty fan now too. I'd be quite happy with a whole herd of them.
New set 13750Used 6.3m set in Essex for sale, no seeder unit on it though. Private sale £15500. In Farmads.

About 10 in 1100 cows. I don’t think anyone knows why they really do it, we’ve done multiple feeding systems. One thing I do know is that the ones sucking generally grew up in the same group and when my dad reared calves in individual pens it wasn’t an issueHow many anti suckle devices do you use? Just pricing up replacement teats for calf feeders. Usually use peach teats. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Stallion clear teats?
Snap , we couldn’t get on with them either. We found them terrible. Very slow to drink with them.
Maize being sold around here £30/t, ADs are laughing all the way to the bank as they are the only ones with any spare capital to buy any!Has anyone bought or sold any maize and grass silage this year? I have Ofcourse done my costs and it won’t leave unless it turns a small profit but no point trying to sell if the market isn’t there

I once sold some silage bales for £10 (long time ago). The next year was short and had to buy bales for £15. Never sold fodder again, there's always a need for it eventually. It can sit here for a while at that then

I hate selling fodder too! as it stands I’ve circa 3000 tonnes clamped still and poor cow performance has ruined my budgets.I once sold some silage bales for £10 (long time ago). The next year was short and had to buy bales for £15. Never sold fodder again, there's always a need for it eventually.

If you've built 10 ton per cow surplus, is that sustainable in 1 year? Made with 700 quid fertI hate selling fodder too! as it stands I’ve circa 3000 tonnes clamped still and poor cow performance has ruined my budgets.
