You don't realise how much playing football 5 times a week keeps everything looseI was trying to go to the gym for an hour a few nights a week and/or go out on my bike for an hour early doors
Haven’t been much and I can tell
Farm work doesn’t have the same effect it’s more stressful I think
My eldest lad was a good hand at playing football he still plays one night a weekYou don't realise how much playing football 5 times a week keeps everything loose
The nfu deservedly get a lot of stick on here big bloated, corrupt and out of touch with most members. But nfu cymru are a lot better I can't really say anything much bad about them especially on this. Not NFU Cymru no, not a chance.
Their lobbying, and that of FUW, has already changed the scheme a hell of a lot.
The first consultation didn't have the word 'food' in it, not once!
Well the last paragraph sums up my farming lol.Good news for large scale contract cereals farmers .
It looks like if you
1.Direct no till
2.Apply no insecticides
3.Use variable rate mapping linked to your spreader for fertiliser use
4.Use selective weed control(herbicides) by utilising camera technology
on sprayers
You will be getting most if not all of your bps back.
Now if your a smaller mixed farmer who ploughs in animal manure ,has a manual fertiliser spreader
and an old sprayer well good luck .
You are not alone .Well the last paragraph sums up my farming lol.
I'd be the opposite always make time for it.an rain or shine made no difference to meMy eldest lad was a good hand at playing football he still plays one night a week
When he left school and even before that he would work with me all day and on his own and he gradually stopped going
Think what put him off was getting wet all day then not wanting to turn back out for another session in it
After he had a day here I don’t think there was enough left in the tank to be honestI'd be the opposite always make time for it.an rain or shine made no difference to me
And that's before you start the £350/ac for some barely existent bird seeds between winter and spring barley. (or another £300 if you sack the spring barley off)Good news for large scale contract cereals farmers .

I feel a bit guilty but it is what it is
Looking at my neighbours direct drilling this winter I think I’ll stick to the plough.Good news for large scale contract cereals farmers .

Sadly such a farmer is just one of many keen to load the dice against livestock. You’d almost think just such an arable farmer had an input into designing SFI?
All views are your own. You’d almost think just such an arable farmer had an input into designing SFI?
It's sad that the average mixed farmer who has been farming in the mostSadly such a farmer is just one of many keen to load the dice against livestock.
I just think of you looking like Ronnie Barker…Yes the mrs runs I can’t run so go on the bike
Early morning is about the only available slot
I wonder how long it would take them to realise if you put the tracker on a stone mad Blackie? You haven’t watched Yellowstone yet obviously…..
They track these animals continuously and can tell when their movements are unusual
I know it’sjust television but fairly close to reality I’d hazard a guess
