I like sleeping at night Luke .If futures are below cost of production are any growers buying the equivilant of what they would have had to trade had they got planted to keep ‘in the game’?

But if you can buy a tonne of wheat cheaper than you can produce it for……… arguably better business sense than planting it…I like sleeping at night Luke .
Educate me please?Theres only ever one reason.
All depends if you have a 3t`/a crop 3.5t/a crop or the magic 4t/a crop. But if you can buy a tonne of wheat cheaper than you can produce it for……… arguably better business sense than planting it…
that said is £184 (Nov 24) above or below cost of production?

Budget on 3 ton. Anything more is welcome. All depends if you have a 3t`/a crop 3.5t/a crop or the magic 4t/a crop.
Not going to be many 4 ton crops this season! Most will be happy with 3t average. All depends if you have a 3t`/a crop 3.5t/a crop or the magic 4t/a crop.
I'll be delighted with 2Not going to be many 4 ton crops this season! Most will be happy with 3t average.
That’s the problem. A nice 4t/a wheat crop plus bps kept the whole farm average up with the crap break crops. For the nice first wheat entry. Not going to be many 4 ton crops this season! Most will be happy with 3t average.
The same buyers will existI’d far rather a liquid market then be stuck selling to one buyer. Careful what you wish for.
It's an absolute disgrace . riding farmers backs , tossers£332 for the pointless black stuff
Just a mere £17 drop in a fortnight!!
The same buyers will exist

Current prices aren’t reality tho.I have a few tonnes of feed barley I could sell to a feeder,FW price is about £135,at that I will carry it over,if someone wants it,they will need to offer over £150.I wouldn’t mind betting there is hardly any being traded at these low prices.feeders around here getting a bit concerned because nobody wants to do farm to farm at current prices.
Same here, what is left in store will stay until after harvest.Current prices aren’t reality tho.I have a few tonnes of feed barley I could sell to a feeder,FW price is about £135,at that I will carry it over,if someone wants it,they will need to offer over £150.I wouldn’t mind betting there is hardly any being traded at these low prices.
I would have something not very polite to say if I was offered that.Had a harvest special text today offering £150 and £160 nov barley.
didn’t bite.
My daily WhatsApp is getting more and more depressing, for the sender and the receiverI would have something not very polite to say if I was offered that.
