Obstacles

Part of the challenge are existing import-export contracts as some LNG just passes through some EU countries before it is sent onwards.

Belgium's energy minister Tinne Van der Straeten stated last month that long-term transshipment contracts make it difficult to phase out Russian LNG.

"We are indeed also in Belgium confronted with specific contracts that were signed well before the war and it is now still an open point how to address this," she told a meeting of the EU Parliament's energy committee in January 2024, Reuters reported.
So they don't even need the gas and are selling it on to help vlad make his beans!
Funny!
You think this ameliorates this somehow?

You don't think russia is making more lng than prior to war?
No idea,Natural gas supplied to Europe by Norway and the US displaces gas supplied to Europe by Russia.Pipelines that were destroyed aren't replaced by ships because 30 points of market share have been lost by Russia.Pretty easy to understand.

Yes they are, more all the time, that's partly why price is down, teo warm winters and more u.s. production also helping.
Why do you think lng not covered by sanctions?

Err yes, neither to i.
You referred to price fixong but you didn't mean it literally i think
Neither do you what? :)

Price fixing has an established meaning involving conspiracy. I was stretching it, knowing that corporate powers, who may not know each other personally or professionally, are nevertheless complicit in the inflation we little people felt very personally. How? By simply understanding the cry for less supply = greater demand = more profit.

War makes a few people at the top even richer.

Russia attacking Spain now, FFS what the hell, I'd guess there's a lot of American dollars in brown envelopes or new Bitcoin accounts floating around Europe recently, all this talk of Russia attacking Europe is total bullish!t just to cover up Politicians complicity in NATO expansion & the inevitable consequences.
Nukes might very well fly in future but only as far as Ukraine.

Or you could look at it in a positive way of Ukraine saving the US billions of dollars by disposing of out of date ammunition and equipment by recycling on the fields of Ukraine rather than a land fill in America or even worse dropping into the sea creating environmental damage for decades to come. No in reality USA should be paying Ukraine for disposing of the out of date crap with the Russians paying to restore the damage created by its use.

No difference hitting Spain then hitting Romania and Russia has already proved they can do that.
