The additional payment for kids with special needs is separate from other benefits. Someone I know who works as an NHS Consultant and does not even get standard child benefit due to level of earnings, is still eligible for (and receives) a payment for one of their children due to special needs, so it is not linked to eligibility for other benefits. 🫤

Read the article, it’s a cashflow problem.
but anything extra would be welcomed /needed for say the likes of respite care which is not so available at times .

Money is money no matter how its named/dressed up. Most of us take subs so you could say most of us on benefits.
