Simple solution:
"Welcome to UK Mr Immigrant. Now how are you going to support yourself? What, you think that you an claim benefits? OK, let me see your Social Security contributions record. You haven't got one?! Oh well, join that queue over there because you are going on the next ferry back to France, [which you nebver should have left in the first place.]"
I dont like too say this but if our armed forces had the man power too spare they could quite easily stop every single boat from reaching our international waters as they leave french ones
but for all the humanitarian reasons & lots more no single man or machine is able or allowed to physically stop a single boat
What a laughing stock we have become.

Have you asked France?
they just show them the way
Alright I'll be the one, you can't send them away!
Not while we've got fruit to pick and streets to clean.
Illegal entrance into the country should come with a £500k fine but don't worry I'm sure we can find away for them too work off their debt... 😜
how do you make our own youngsters work, a lot have no desire to do anything remotely like hard/dirty work.

personally, it would be work, or vastly reduced dole.

those that come here, prepared to work, quite happy with

those that live off benefits, just shouldn't be here

l suspect its a 'delicate' subject, but l pity the guv, everything it tries, gets shouted down, presumably they live in shanty towns around Calais etc. Then to say its inhumane to house them on a fully equipped barge, hot meals etc, something is very very wrong.

Lol which is why they've got the Rwanda thing all wrong it's not illegal immigrants they should be sending it is all those in care homes and not working currently. It would save us a fortune.

It's not many yrs ago they were £400/ton.
Are they not still £1000?
A grain trailer would set you back £30k for an average to today’s spec. How any trailer manufacturer could go bust at their over inflated prices. They’ve really took the pee with Covid. Yes steel and running gear has went up but not to the extreme they charge for them.

Know of a haulier who was flat out taking trailers for a local company to England, he’s took one load this year just, and their books are empty for abroad too

like it, but its probably illegal to say that ! Not the care homes, i'm slowly edging towards one.
Haha but wouldn't you prefer your finally days in a hot beautiful climate with carers at your beck and call all four less than a tenth of what it costs in the UK?
I think I like the idea of retiring somewhere warm or at least dry... Hell if it keeps raining I might go sooner than that 😕 😭

As far as all the bitch ass comments saying "oooo we're all too poor and everything is just too expensive"
Just for your information tractor sales were UP 5% last year.... 😉

Compactor trailers are in to £50k now

I will say this about KTwo … have by far the best paintwork of any trailer we’ve owned
Great pity if they never return

And so sad that two companies from the South East have gone ; Thame and Alresford for Warwick originally. Soon we'll be all sharing historic photos of things on Facebook and it won't be horse and cart photos but anyone actually making stuff
