a new lagoon for dirty water, built to their specifications, will still cost a lot of money.

you would think they don't want farmers anymore.

dread to think what the next daft idea they will dream up.

Will only have dairy washings here by the end of the summer, everything will be covered. It’s been hell this winter, any runoff runs straight over waterlogged fields and some helpful person dobs me in to the NRW.

We had this made up when we got the dribble bar as we couldn’t get the application rate below 2500g/acre without driving at 8-10mph. Not used it for the spring application as the slurry has been really watery this time but it will certainly be back in next time it thickens up. Really if it’s twice as thick you only want half as much on!

Our joskin injector had a gate valve in the 6inch pipe so you could shut the flow rate down if needed and there was a bracket to hold it in the desired position.

Good idea, I sometimes hear and read comments about dribble bars marking and just think some application rates are just too high for grass.
Some of its weather. Two years ago before the separator we did 10 acres of Italian. It dried up and the line dried and lifted up with the grass. Only about 2 inches wide and no thickness. Ended up baling the field rather than forager. Only time it happened. Now with a separator slurry is gone in an hour if the field can take it .

Seriously annoyed with myself for this f**k up. Lush growth and hungry cows. Stupid mistake hopefully caught it quick enough View attachment 1174899
Is she up on here feet now quickest way is to put calcium dextrose into the vain but if she is grubby when you put the needle in always wash the area and surgical spirit on but dry the water of first especially if you put it in the milk vain.
