2 ducks swimming in wheel ruts in one field this afternoon. They are spoilt for choice at the moment.About sums it up, just seen a pair of ducks wandering around the field
You’re definitely not alone with these problems today, bloody annoying but what can you do .. Ive not heard of anyone having a good lambing so far (apart from the knackery companies)Brought some ewes in that need lambs setting on
Weather has polished them off since this morning pretty upsetting considering they were mainly lambed inside and in for the first night or two
Yeah knackerman told me it was the busiest for a good few yearsYou’re definitely not alone with these problems today, bloody annoying but what can you do .. Ive not heard of anyone having a good lambing so far (apart from the knackery companies)
Balluskie, Barrhill, South Ayrshire.Whereabouts in Ayrshire were you?
Ewes have had a sh!t winter, especially from mid January when they were getting heavier in lamb. It’s all caught up with a few of them now.Yeah knackerman told me it was the busiest for a good few years
It's been a tough winter on ewes. Mine have melted since lambing. Everything out is being fed - even singles. Twins on nearly a kilo a day. Ground is unbelievably wet. Heavy rain again tomorrow. Someone on here said their ewe mortality was less than 1% for the year to date and that they were unhappy with that. I managed 3% loss over 3 weeksEwes have had a sh!t winter, especially from mid January when they were getting heavier in lamb. It’s all caught up with a few of them now.
Same here, let nothing out for 5 days yet warmer box full tonight and a couple didn't make it. Been a hell of a day. That’s what’s getting to me. Haven’t put anything out since 29th of march but have had to bring a few back in to either save lambs or mother new lambs on. If it would just square up a bit it would give lease lambs a bloody chance! Just a waste but there’s nothing you can do
Classier up here: got 3 pair of swans in a silage field. They've had 100mm on their backs in April.2 ducks swimming in wheel ruts in one field this afternoon. They are spoilt for choice at the moment.
