also cull ewes how they hold up.
I'm happy to sell all mine if they are a good price.
Keep my own shearling some more of my own ewe lambs & maybe buy some mule ewe lamb runners.

We just had a chance talk, neither of us knew how big it really needed to be but he just mentioned a big horse arena shed they'd done a few years back was £120k so yes your probably right, it be more now

I was thinking about this the other night. Ewes would do far better if the were in somewhere near half way through pregnancy. The way the weather has been it’s looking more tempting to do it

And again this is worrying
We tried housing swales many years ago, never seemed to work. As you say they went stale after so long and when you let them out after a couple of months inside they just went down with staggers.

Get away with a week or 10 days in but not much more
Was talking to a lad before and he's lambing his 3s outside and doing better than in even on a year like this, well I've been same, my last batch of 3s I've left out and more milk at them and sharper lambs but weather so bad you have to go in night, well about midnight, but lambed away well really.
