Bugger all these days man , plenty oay more than that for a bloody pile of shyt tractor ! A sheds a proper investment that will last decades !I was talking to a fabricator the other day about a shed, I said needs to hold 1000 ewes and have individual pens up each side, talking £120,000.
Will never happen
Its not a realistic price either , truth is be lot more imo .I was talking to a fabricator the other day about a shed, I said needs to hold 1000 ewes and have individual pens up each side, talking £120,000.

We just had a chance talk, neither of us knew how big it really needed to be but he just mentioned a big horse arena shed they'd done a few years back was £120k so yes your probably right, it be more nowIts not a realistic price either , truth is be lot more imo .
Typed same time as youI was thinking about this the other night. Ewes would do far better if the were in somewhere near half way through pregnancy. The way the weather has been it’s looking more tempting to do it
The old fellas used to say shelter was half meat
And again this is worryingI've had a few I think been inside too long, gone wooden somehow
We tried housing swales many years ago, never seemed to work. As you say they went stale after so long and when you let them out after a couple of months inside they just went down with staggers.I've had a few I think been inside too long, gone wooden somehow
Get away with a week or 10 days in but not much moreWe tried housing swales many years ago, never seemed to work. As you say they went stale after so long and when you let them out after a couple of months inside they just went down with staggers.
Less smothered in bag outside aswell, they were doing that for fun insideGet away with a week or 10 days in but not much more
Was talking to a lad before and he's lambing his 3s outside and doing better than in even on a year like this, well I've been same, my last batch of 3s I've left out and more milk at them and sharper lambs but weather so bad you have to go in night, well about midnight, but lambed away well really.
Swales are bad for that inside for whatever reason I don’t knowLess smothered in bag outside aswell, they were doing that for fun inside
