Never heard of her , and I would disagree, he’s an entertainer, if that’s your thing.
Must confess to not being a top gear fan but I did watch clarksons farm , purely for its comedy value ( for balance I think Hammond and May were pricks as well)

You need to watch some of his documentaries ... start with the one on Brunel then come back to me

Persuaded the Mrs to have a look at how James May made a tarte tatin in series 2 of his cookery show, as he made it look quite simple.

She was so impressed that she went back to the start of series one and over the following days binge watched both series from start to finish.

Jeff Bezos hasn't lined their respective pockets since they left the BBC without good reason.

Try James May; Our Man in India, Italy, Japan.
Japan was excellent, Italy I found a bit arty farty and stopped watching, but that was obviously more to do with the producers than him as a presenter.

India I haven't looked at yet.

Communication takes place through stories, so yes he does entertain, but gets information across as well.

It gives people as accurate a depiction of farming, as does Carry on Nurse of the NHS.

Look at the enterprises and the acreage. Then look at the money spent. The solution to every problem is to throw money at it. It isn't, remotely, a true representation of UK ag.

A block of cheddar. It's not exactly The Delia Effect.

I didn't say he had to film it. I said if he wanted to do something useful he would put his money into getting a replacement opened. Anyway, where are all his piggle wiggles going to get slaughtered ? Fits in perfectly with the story of the farm.

He wrote an article on its closure, which blamed Greta. Which just shows what it's all about, the TV show and the journalism. It isn't about supporting UK ag. It's about provocative, profitable journalism. Which is fine, he is good at it, but all the stuff about him being an ambassador for farming is bollox.

He regularly turns out to open stuff, foc,

How very f@cking generous of him.

So where are his piggle wiggles going to on their holidays ? I tried looking for something on his meat on his website, but all I could find was Clarkson's Farm t-shirts. Made in the Chipping Norton garment factory no doubt.

Didn't he once punch someone because the food on set wasn't to his satisfaction ? I know he described people who jump in front of trains as 'selfish'. What a wonderful human being.

You’ve never liked the bloke from the word go, have you @delilah ?
That is fair enough and everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

But WTF harm has he ever done to you?
And with the way you keep slating him, what sort of wonderful human being are you?

Clarkson came into farming late and has recognised various problems within it which he has broadcast to the Nation, both in his Newspaper articles and his Amazon TV programs. Done in a way that both attracts and holds his audience’s attention.

What have you done in comparison or is it that you are jealous of the attention he gets?

How come you dislike him so much?

A millionaire, TV host, successful journalist, enigmatic entertainer, farmer, realist & among many other things a straight talking famous bloke who likes women, beer & motors, to have a laugh & a bit of fun, doesn't take himself too seriously & who in the grand scheme of things doesn't have to give a sh*t about anything but obviously does.

You either like him or you don't

.................for anyone who doesn't like him then the red button at the top of the remote control is the Off button & gives you an option.

Correct. Have never liked the bloke. I have always had a problem with his taking the p!ss out of the environmental movement.

Which in part answers your second question. I consider his lazy, stereotypical pops at the environmental movement to bring harm to my business, and, for the purposes of this forum, to farming in general. Reinforcing outdated and just plain wrong prejudices is helping nobody. He has a platform to do good, yet that would be too much like hard work so instead he just sticks to what he is best at, taking the p!ss.

I am entirely comfortable with my achievements, and the attention thus received. Bless you for asking.

If you had a thriving on-site cafe and farm shop with queues out the door and a limited supply of fresh pork, would you be faffing around with mail order which is expensive for meat which has to be chilled?

Where did I say I was trying to mail order his pork ? I was trying to find something about his meat on his farm shop website. All I can find on there, and the facebook page, is a load of tat. It isn't a farm shop, it is a shop on a farm. Presumably he got PP on the back of the usual farm shop criteria ? Any planning officer worth their salt would be taking him to task.

(full disclosure, he isn't the only one to be corrupting the farm shop/farmers market concept).

If you knew a train driver who had had their mind wrecked by a jumper, you would perhaps see the merit in his "selfish" comment.

Anyone who takes their own life, through whatever means, will have a devastating impact on someone. So they are all selfish ? Got it.

(shocked and saddened that the only response your post has had is likeys).
