I have begun to jack up the boom as described but it will take some time.
As soon as I can access the pin , it's coming out. Might even lift the fuel tank out of the way too.
It just seems wrong and potentially quite a dangerous way to achieve it.

Not sure I have enough room to get to it (check valve).
Was thinking of lifting it over time high enough to get the ram pin out. Then lift boom up and away followed by the two rams. Only then will I have enough room to access the split hose.
I have a jd 3420 with a split hydraulic pipe under the boom.
How do I lift the boom to access the pipe ?
I am assuming the safety mechanism that stops the boom falling is stopping it just being lifted by another loader.

If you need so much it's clear that a lack of proper testing has occurred.
I too was guilty of this. I relied on average figures across fields and didn't properly test. Acidic patches developed and have proved costly to rectify.
The only way is multiple applications over a number of years.
I have used 200+ tonnes of lime this last year and will again this.
I also use calcifert.
My experience is the calcifert is a get out of jail card. It will sort the issue for a year.
