Lambs need to be clean this time of year which is fair play when I knife has to run down the fleece but fasting lambs:grumpy: especially when going to market is a bit of a sod. They never look the same and naturally weight less.

Farming does have its good moments and at times is a good life its just we are all too tied up trying to beat the weather ,lower the overdraft and get the work done that we just don't have the time to enjoy it as we would like. That's modern farming I guess......pressure to pay the bills...

I think there is something slightly different between the two, ovivac-p has something extra for lambs I think. I use ovivac on the lambs and hept on the ewes but basically its better to use either than nothing. ovivac might be a touch cheaper too.

Actually if its for breeding they won't want much hard feed so maybe mineral buckets, silage might be enough . All depends on grass growth, weather ect so I would just keep an eye on body condition and a few oats if they need it. Then again I would say that as I have a big heap of oats to use so...

Well it depends on what job you intend to keep them for? fat/breeding? oats at £115 tonne a good start
