Dad and his aversion to tidy up after himself. Tools, rubbish, scrap left lying, until the magic tidy fairy gathers up behind him. The induced rage is off the scale when I return a week later and it’s all returned to sh!t.
That and brothers dog crapping all over the yard.
Not receiving a wave, or a beep of the horn, or a flash of the head lights from a driver (and it’s always a woman) after reversing 100 odd meters up a narrow road, with the trailer behind to an entrance, so they can pass. I was livid! 🤬
Thanks for the reply.
The rest of the yards are a mess tbh, and it’s a pain in the hole trying to keep it clean.
Just trying to save the good stuff and prevent the cracking for as long as I can get away with.
Think I’ll go an dig those sections out and patch them up level again. Fire a few...
Long winded, but looking for some advice on the best way to sort out cracking on a concrete slabs on the farmyard.
Basically the majority of the concrete on the farm is fecked. All laid before my time, 4’’ thick.
Some sections have been renewed at 6’’ a good few years ago, but developing...
In process of having £4500 work done. Mostly to save what’s left and preventative measures.
Averaging £750 per visit - mostly 90 minute appointments. 😮
Got the teeth straighten with braces aged 35 😬
Only wish I had looked after my teeth better in my youth and not ate just so many sweets.
Have a look out for exposed aggregate concrete. Decorative gravel laid a top of concrete, pressed in and then the top fat washed off before the concrete fully sets.
Customer of mine has it and it looks the part, and major advantage is that you can run the power washer over it and the there is...
Have about 50 odd Beech trees and two Scots Pine, which were planted around ten years, as bare root whips.
Has anyone had any experience of successfully lifting and replanting trees of this size and age? And if so, how would one go about it.
The trees are currently around 3.5mtrs to 4.5mtrs...
Recall seeing these reproduction milking jars used as a lighting feature at a design studio. Might be handy enough to make something similar using the real thing. http://www.donnabatesdesign.com/parlour_lighting
I hate to say it, but our farm yard here is becoming a rough oul hole. Dad just won't pick up after himself any more, & it appears he doesn't feel or see the need to keep up with repairs, or pick up what he's dropped.
Mixed farm & Dad would still be in good health at 65.
My brother & I both...
