when you take it off , slacken the centre bolt holding it on on 3 turns and then tap the filter on the side with a hammer to unseat it , it will let the oil drain out before unscrewing fully
Try taking the small hose off that feeds the manifold and making sure it is clear , a welding rod will push the filter out with a bit if force , also make sure your mole grips or clamp are completely nipping the return tothe gearbox
are you sure you are clamping the right hose, there is a small hose going to a manifold of three pipes on the RH side of the battery , 2 pipes coming off it go to brake cylinders and the third returns into gearbox top , it needs clamping , this is for 84 series , also the one small hose that...
Hello, does any one have any cures for a MLT 634 that gets hot when doing hard work , fitted with a merc engine , radiator clean , coolant changed and flushed , new thermostat fitted , give it hard work and gauge goes up and buzzer comes on , any suggestions ? thanks
You can’t see oil or dip it from the filler plug , sounds like the transmission/ hyd filter needs changing first , big filter in front of left hand half shaft
If it is a 955 it needs gear oil in the gearbox, 15 gallons from memory , needs pumping in throgh the level plug on LH side of gearbox under cab, a 956 uses hy tran and is a pressure lube system where the 955 is a oil bath system
