Apparently you can have a float option fitted but it wasn’t standard like it typically would be on a tractor now. At 1989 in my case, it’s from that era….
As for me, I’m on an old Mf 398 tractor which unfortunately doesn’t have a float setting. To which for mowing you would be glad of. As KB6930 said it sounds as though for the grass harrow application you wouldn’t want it in float.
I’ve always thought of it in terms of if you were in your garden...
We all know, in likely hood, if they want it they’ll get it!
But putting that aside for one moment…..what’s the best security device you can put on a stock trailer (ifor W 12ft 510 in my case)?
Hitch locks? What’s considered the best ones?
Wheel clamps?
ETc?
I’ve always been of the opinion...
I run a quad……..with a trailer when needed for picking dead stock up, fence posts, whatever. One element to factor in is the winter time. When it’s bad weather, and been bad weather for a while, a quad will not get stuck anywhere (operator dependant) and with less ground pressure than a foot...

Recently bought the Browns Grass Master, 5m version, and was wondering if any owners could give me one or two pointers as to it’s operation.
It’s on the back of my MF 398 so for me the depth wheel height is a no brainier with pin set at two holes showing above the bracket. Where I’m a little...
I’ve stupidly forgotten to give my ewes their Covexin 8 jab (symptom of running two jobs and having too much on!) and my lambing start date is about March 15th. Is it a case of go through and inject my ewes anyway to provide their booster and then do born lambs at a later date?
Put the Rakeman to one side for now as feel may have trouble locating one. Now find myself looking at the Proforge activator 3m and the Browns Grassmaster again 3m. Anyone have experience of these machines? They both seem a similar design build and price….
