yes that’s the one I changed the coulters as wearing metal couldn’t be sourced and also I wanted to go direct, I’ve got a few more mods to do but works well so far.

I have a 2002 4 metre that was a test for the simba/Horsch it has a subframe underneath and band sow coulters at 280mm spacing so 14 coulters. I’ve recently converted it to Dutch openers using 5 inch for cereals and 1 inch for beans.

I currently run an orbis 750 on a jag 950, I can’t say I’m overly struck by the orbis, I had an old 6 row small drum Kemper on my old JD forager, chopper was awful, header was great. What’s the pros and cons between big drum and small drum kempers? We’re chopping some flat maize at the minute...

Hi there, I’ve had a bit of a problem with the wrapper on my fusion vario 2015. It’s not putting enough plastic on bales, it doesn’t make sense as the wrappers using the correct amount of plastic for 6 layers I.e 40 bales to a pair of wraps but some bales don’t seem to have a lot of plastic on...

I should be able to temper it tho shouldn’t I?

I let it cool naturally for about 5–10 minutes then cooled the furthest point from heat first finishing at the hook.

I did think that although they must be heat forged, I can always re temper it I suppose.

So the other day I decided to heat my tractors drop hook as it has a slight twist from a trailer going over at some stage. The hook didn’t move even tho red hot, then I slowly quenched it. Could this of been a bad move or will it still be as strong as before?
