There are two terminals you need to bridge in the connector port for diagnostics in the rear cab pillar. I don’t have the details of which two terminals to hand but hopefully someone on here will.

@cosmagedon … many thanks for posting this at the time as it was only then I realised that sone of the workshop manuals have a lot more detail than others. My workshop manual did not have the detail yours has for fault finding and makes it much simpler rather than trawling through the wiring...

Do you get the static shock other years as well or is it just this year? Or is it more a case that this year is particularly bad?

I thought it was only a problem on the older models and that it had been designed out/ addressed. Obviously not ?

Unfortunately that I dont know. It depends on the wiring set up and whether relays are used or not amd their ratings. I have not seen them ripped. Others on here might have direct experience hopefully of those modes
