This person is in this position due to the death of his parents, council are keen for him to take a new tenancy despite not really been involved in the running of the farm He now owns a house in the village (thanks to his inheritance) and has a manager on site, who he'd like to leave living there

Its going to be a renewal tenancy, was his parents but he's bought a house locally and wants his farm manager to live on the farm

Can someone with a council farm tenancy sub let the farm house to a farm employee, or is that against the rules? Thanks

No definitely 2. The house is full of damp and woodworm. They've always been lay low and don't bother the council for repairs

The council wanted to make another 10-15 year tenancy with the previous tenants daughter but she's not interested in taking it on. Currently land classed as green belt but in the wider plan to build on one day as open ended avenues onto land. I've got 30+ years experience with horses
