Sorry should have said ... Based in Lincolnshire Wolds where it is a little cooler on top of the hill. Really just seeing if its worth a go after getting cereal crop harvested. Some of it will be after Barley so hopefully beginning of August and some after wheat so who knows. I don't grow maize...

Just debating if its worth drilling maize as game cover after harvest so mid to late August (Hopefully). Anyone done it? Or is it best to stick a mustard crop in instead?

    Anyone used agopen?

Hi Neo, I record each timing and when the phone gets a gps location change I store the average value with the location. Location changes happen every 4 seconds or so. I also store the time from the bottom of a paddle passing the beam to the time the bottom of the next paddle passes. This...

Raspberry Pi - Python Based GPS System

Hutchy, Have you released your software anywhere. I keep thinking its a good project to get involved with seeing as JD want £8k for a basic system these days. AgOpenGPS is very good but the reliance on a full fat PC to do the work is a bit of a pain.

I drill on sf1. You need to keep an eye on drift but its not exactly taxing shifting the track as and when required, unless you want to take a nap whilst going up the field.

    Autumn OSR Growth Regulator

Good looking OSR in this post - mid August drilling is the way forward as long as the rain gods are on your side! Getting to the time of thinking about light leaf spot control. Farmers Weekly got me thinking about the use of Prothioconazole or Tebuconazole or a bit of both. What are grower...
