Wow. I have heard pricing ranging in the £26-£28 farmgate level; but it has been a while since I checked.Just got offered £60/t for next year, 5x increase, no thanks
as of the 1st of jan any ground that has a catchment area of the wye can't have chicken muck so thats most of herefordshire out not just chicken farmsWith the new policy from the big Herefordshire based chicken growers that means growers have to sell muck rather than spread it on their own land (so I read) - you would assume a lot of muck becoming available and price will drop?
So it will have to be exported - either ad plant or wherever it can be spread? I think I read that it can be spread in the catchment area if crop/soil need can be demonstrated?as of the 1st of jan any ground that has a catchment area of the wye can't have chicken muck so thats most of herefordshire out not just chicken farms
Maybe there will have to be a regime similar to sewage sludge where soil tests have to be done to prove a need to a level. So it will have to be exported - either ad plant or wherever it can be spread? I think I read that it can be spread in the catchment area if crop/soil need can be demonstrated?
