Very true, I only carry 100ton of silage max on youngstock farm, I'll fed zero cut grass off youngstock farm if it goes dry, am doing twice as much summer crop this year which is already in rye 'n vetch currently

Ours furloughed the two vets at high risk, cause some dick head client's on the small animal side would turn up ill quite often 🙈

Could be CNS mastitis as well , which we've had a whole massive problem for 8 weeks, very high subclinical mastitis, now got the FSA coming as hit 401 end of March, daily hit 900 for a week , now daily 140 without doing anything 🤷

    Evolution Farming

Mate managed 28k cows in NZ without any welfare issues, with farms on both islands, needs to be a well managed at all levels, you just need to look a Crafar and how quickly that went wrong

    Evolution Farming

Was prepared for a failed test, as 2 of my neighbours have failed since Christmas with a cow each, but was very happy when the last cow ran through the crush and we're clear for another 6 months 👌

    Evolution Farming

It definitely should be, I've worked for farm's who care more about thier image than their stock and other's who look like tramps but put thier animals first and was glad to work on the latter most of my time.
