We went from 5/10 to 14/28 here and one can milk 84 to 98 cows/ hour. Depends on the amount of sh!t. (Don't know about others, but ours are bad at this time of year, lush grass shooting out). Also what i have noticed is washing down takes time compared to our old 5/10.And you really speed up milking by having someone to help just finishing off and getting cows out to graze whilst one is washing. Can make 45 mins differance for doing not much really!!

200 cows on OAD. Care to share your budgets?

I am with Beef farmer, care to share some numbers? Would be much more educational for all, rather than talking gear.

I for one am very interested in how you guys over there afford to have new parlors installed. Over here you better be building it yourself and buy it used for anything sub 400 cows.
